Our story
Founded in 2008 by Robert Eden
Living Space was founded in 2008 by Robert Eden, originally taking on contracts to construct homes for private clients and architects. By building a great team of tradesmen and craftsmen, Living Space quickly became in demand from individuals who had seen our work.
Over the years we have completed many builds — ground-up new dwellings, refurbishments and extensions — working across Norfolk, Suffolk and, at times, central London, where we carried out major construction projects including a multi-million-pound penthouse in the old Paramount Studios building in Camden.
Over the last five years, Living Space has focused on building exclusive homes from the ground up, primarily for Eden Developments EA Ltd. Our build team have worked together for over ten years, and our tradesmen are genuinely at the top of their game in terms of skill and ability.
Began career as a draftsman at Anglia Factors, producing plans and elevations for bespoke kitchens and bedrooms.
Joined Rhode Design in Islington and Chelsea, designing and installing bespoke kitchens and bedrooms. Rose to Sales Manager.
Founded Hot Pepper, a bespoke interiors company. Ran the largest integrated Miele appliance account in East Anglia from a Norwich showroom.
Took on main contracts with John Lewis, B&Q and Magnet, installing kitchens for private clients and construction companies.
Founded Living Space, initially building homes for private clients and architects across Norfolk and beyond.
Completed a £7.8m penthouse in Camden during the London Olympics — the full team mobilised to London for seven months.
Founded Eden Developments EA Ltd, a property development company focused on exclusive new homes across East Anglia.
Currently developing Watering Farm (5 luxury homes, Stoke Holy Cross), The Grain Barn conversion (Mattishall) and the Nomads Development (3 units, Mattishall).

The man behind the build
Robert Eden
Robert's career in design and construction spans more than thirty years, beginning in bespoke interiors before moving into full construction. He served in the British Army before entering the industry, and that discipline and attention to detail has shaped everything Living Space does.
In 2020 Robert founded Eden Developments EA Ltd, a property development company specialising in the acquisition of land and the construction of exclusive homes across East Anglia. Living Space serves as the construction arm, delivering every project to the exacting standards Robert has built his reputation on.
